What is a broker partner code?

A broker partner code attributes a registration to a partner. It may connect an account to a promotion, but the code itself does not prove a benefit.

A partner code is an attribution instruction. It tells a broker which partner introduced a registration. Sometimes it also connects the user to a stated promotion. Sometimes it does nothing visible to the account. Those are different facts.

The short version

A broker may acquire customers through publishers, educators, introducing brokers or other commercial partners. The provider can identify that relationship through a tracked link, a code entered in registration, a referral identifier, or a combination of them.

The code is useful to the provider because it makes attribution possible. It may be useful to the customer if current terms attach an eligible benefit. But seeing a working code field does not prove a deposit bonus, fee reduction or other reward.

The safe question is not “is this code real?” It is “what do current terms say this code does for my account and market?”

Partner code, partner link and benefit

LayerWhat it doesWhat it does not prove
Partner linkPasses attribution through a URL or cookie. That a user receives a special deal.
Partner codeIdentifies the partner in a registration field or account flow. The value, eligibility or duration of a promotion.
Promotion termsDefine the benefit, eligible users, products, dates and limits. That every operating entity offers the same thing.

Where a partner code is entered

The location is provider-specific. It may sit in the first registration form, a later onboarding screen or a client portal. AvaTrade's official help centre, for example, says its partner-code field appears below the phone-number field during registration. That supports the field location; it does not establish the value of a particular code.

Do not put a code into an unrelated field or assume support can attach it later. If the field is missing, pause and ask the provider through an official channel. The attribution rules may differ after an account has been created.

Why the benefit can be unknown

Partners often receive commercial information before a public landing page or code-specific terms exist. A good directory can still publish the exact code as supplied inventory, provided it does not upgrade the missing benefit into a promise.

That is how Broker.codes treats XM code QK44F: the code is visible, while the benefit remains explicitly unknown. The useful information is the code plus the evidence gap.

Why country matters

A provider can operate through more than one entity and offer more than one product. Local product-intervention rules, provider restrictions and promotion terms can all change what is available. A bonus shown on a provider's global page may not appear in the registration path serving a particular country.

Broker.codes therefore treats the provider, product, market and offer mechanic as separate layers. When evidence is incomplete, the state is “market terms need confirmation”, not “available”.

A two-minute check before using one

  1. Match the exact characters, including letter case where relevant.
  2. Use the provider's designated partner or referral field.
  3. Find code-specific terms or an account-facing confirmation of the benefit.
  4. Check the legal entity and product shown for your country.
  5. Read the funding, volume, expiry and withdrawal conditions.
  6. Ignore any claim that a bonus makes leveraged trading safer.
